Who is Leon Popov?
Leon Popov was born in Latvia and from an early age he knew that he wanted to design beautiful jewelry. He trained with master jewelers, including winners of the prestigious DeBeers Diamond Awards, at the world renown Riga Jewelry Factory. He continued to progress until he opened his own jewelry design store in Ratmat Gan in 1986.
He initially worked only on commission with private customers, but as his fame and accolades grew he decided to expand his business into commercial stores. These days he concentrates on designing exquisite jewelery that is as unique and celebrated as it is beautiful. In fact at the annual gathering of prestige jewelry and watches – The Baselworld Fair – he was promoted into their prestigious Hall 2.2 – an amazing feat for a first time exhibitor!
